Why would I take time to do this? Have you been frustrated by the service you received lately or see a decline in some basic workforce fundamentals?
Who is this for? We want to preserve the priceless knowledge, experience, stories and general wisdom that has made America great. The Gap App is for anyone who is willing to share this wisdom AND anyone who is hungry to learn the fundamentals from “Real” people, not the internet.
How can I get started? You can share a “Workforce Connection” in writing or in audio/ video form. If it is in writing, we will convert it into audio (using an audiobook voice) to make it easier for others to access. Try your best to support what you say with illustration or example to help listeners make a connection. Think of it as a mini-lesson, just share one bite-size nugget of truth for others to connect with | Pro Tip: Share something from a your favorite book and relate it to real life so others can make a connection…it’s that simple 🙂

Because learning is much more powerful when you apply it, especially when it’s done through a project that is so relevant to your everyday life success. If you choose this course, we will do the heavy technical lifting for you by providing a healthy foundation for you to practice those web skills and focus on those important outcomes.
In addition to the above skills, you will naturally develop the things that all employers are looking for today and as you advance in your career: executive function skills, essential soft skills, general tech skills, and the ability to mentor another employee as you cultivate your understanding of effective leadership.

In 2023, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy declared a national loneliness and social isolation epidemic nationwide. He warned that about half of U.S. adults are experiencing considerable levels of loneliness. He said, “We know now that when people struggle with things socially disconnected, over time, that it can have an impact on their mental health, increasing their risk for anxiety and depression, but also in their physical health, increasing their risk for heart disease, as well as dementia and premature death.”
